Home
The members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #693 of Wisconsin Rapids, WI welcome you! The Elks are dedicated to assisting the physically challenged, the youth, and most importantly, our nation’s veterans. The Elks also assist the less fortunate in our communities.
There have been one hundred thirty five plus years of history and character behind our Elks Lodge. The Order of Elks was formally organized on February 16, 1868 in the City of New York. Its full corporate name is Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) of the United States of America. Our lodge was instituted at 3:00 P.M. on April 24, 1901. Stevens Point Lodge sponsored the new lodge and conducted the initiatory work. Forty charter members formed the nucleus of the new lodge in the Wood Building as Grand Rapids Elks Lodge #693. In 1915, we moved to the new building. In 1920, our name was changed to Wisconsin Rapids Elks Lodge #693.
