Mission

To foster community appreciation of the arts by providing programs encompassing a full range of cultural interests. Emphasis is placed on providing and funding artist-in education programs in schools.

Background

The Arts Council was organized in 1976 as a non-profit corporation to promote an appreciation and enjoymnet of the Arts and to encourage the artistic talents of area residents. It is governed by a board of directors and has one part-time staff member.
